Circular backshells
Backshells are threaded onto the rear of the connector and provide screening, environmental sealing, strain relief and EMI/RFI protection for cable terminations.
This range includes straight and R/A single / double screen cone, cone and cable clamp, CFS, heat shrink boot, band, PG, dummy receptacle, caps, blanking covers, shorting cans etc.
The product is available in all standard materials and plating / finishes including the new high-performance hybrid finish and is RoHS, REACH and VG approved.
Rectangular backshells
Backshells are available in various styles and configurations including straight, 45° & 90°, split-type or one piece body.
Backshells for d-sub, micro d-sub, ARINC 600 rank and panel connectors.
Protective dust covers
LPA supply an extensive range of protection caps to suit most MIL spec circular connector series including, MIL-C-D38999 series 1, 2 & 3, MIL-C-26482 series 1 (pat 105) & 2, MIL-C-5015 (VG 95234) and others.
The metal protective caps are available in all shell sizes in plug and receptacle bayonet, screw and acme thread styles with interfacial seal.
Threaded onto the back of the connector, the backshell provides strain relief, EMI/RFI shielding, environmental protection and repairability to connector/cable terminations.
- Two main components make up the backshell – threaded coupling nut & grooved body with teeth to mate securely with the corresponding connector
- O ring is supplied to efficiently seal the connector-backshell interface and offers environmental protection
- The grooved body of the backshell secures a heat shrink boot which protects the cable terminations
