Chief Executive Officer announcement
We are pleased to announce, further to the Company’s announcement of 22 October 2024, the appointment effective today 2 January 2025 of Philo Daniel as Chief Executive Officer of the LPA Group.

LPA awarded three projects in the export rail market
We are pleased to announce three project awards in the export rail market, for a total combined value of £4m.
SNCF Voyageurs
Contract award from SNCF Voyageurs SA, the national French rail operator, for the design and supply of bespoke interior LED lighting for the retrofit of regional and inter-city fleets over the next five years.
Siemens Mobility
Contract award from Siemens Mobility GmbH, one of the leading providers of rail mobility solutions including rolling stock, rail infrastructure, rail services and software. LPA will manufacture bespoke LED lighting as part of the overhaul of the Munich Metro rolling stock interior lighting system.
Grammer
Contract award from Grammer AG, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of seating systems. LPA will design and supply seat electronics and lighting for the CSI (Corridor Sud Italie) project, which will be fitted into 15 Avelia Horizon next generation TGV trains, being built by Alstom Transport, in France, for SNCF.
Robert Horvath, Chairman commented: “The contract awards by these three prestigious export customers are an endorsement to our worldwide reputation for product innovation and design in both lighting and electronics.”

LPA CHANNEL ELECTRIC JOINS MAKE UK DEFENCE
We are delighted to announce we have become a member of MAKE UK Defence.
MAKE UK support the UK’s innovative and diverse defence manufacturers, including the defence supply chain.
Joining MAKE UK will build our visibility within the sector and give us access to resources that can support our growth and collaboration with other companies working in the defence supply chain.

We are delighted to announce LPA Lighting Systems have successfully achieved IRIS re-certification.

Appointment of CEO
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Philo Daniel-Tran as Chief Executive Officer who will join LPA as a director of the Company in January 2025.
Philo has a wealth of experience working in transport, defence and security sectors across the globe. Until recently, Philo was Global Director Aviation & Urban Security at Smiths Detection, a major division of Smiths Group, where she oversaw the restructure of the Aviation sub-division focussing on delivery, strategic growth, and introduction of new technologies.
Prior to this Philo worked at Thales for 16 years where she held senior roles including Regional Business Development, Strategy and Marketing Director, Thales South and Southeast Asia; Head of Transportation Strategy and Marketing, Thales UK; and Head of Transportation Systems Engineering, Thales UK.
Robert Horvath, Chairman said “We are delighted to announce Philo’s appointment as Chief Executive Officer. She brings to the role extensive knowledge, skill and experience of our industry from her previous roles, and strong ambition as the Group aims to deliver on its long term growth plans. LPA’S ANNUAL CHARITY GOLF DAY
We are looking forward to hosting our Annual Charity Golf Day on Thursday 10 October.
This year we will be supporting St Clare Hospice and Dig It Community Allotment.
Some of our customers and suppliers from across the UK will take part in a day of golf competitions at Saffron Walden Golf Club and help raise money for two very important local charities.
Last year we raised an amazing £6,000. Hopefully we can beat it again this year!
LPA GROUP ATTENDING DINNER AT THE ROUNDHOUSE
We are looking forward to hosting some of our customers at Mainspring’s Dinner at the Roundhouse.
The dinner is on 17 October 2024 at the Derby Arena, where LPA will be celebrating the achievements of our rail customers and colleagues over the past year.

New P28 aviation connector to replace Type M1/M3
LPA Connection Systems will discontinue supply of Type M1 and Type M3 28VDC connectors. These products will be replaced by the P28 connector.
We are offering customers a ‘last time buy’ on Type M1 and Type M3 connectors. We will accept orders for these products up to 30 September 2024. All orders accepted up until this date will be shipped at the earliest opportunity – we cannot accept orders with delayed delivery dates.
The P28 connector replaces the Type M1 and M3. It is now available to order – please click here for more information.
The P28 follows the same design philosophy as the Plane Power 400 Hz connectors; made from highly durable, chemically resistant, thermally stable polymers. It is IP67 rated without the need to use potting compound and takes a wide variety of composite or multi core cables. The P28 is a significantly better product than its predecessors and offers both value for money and operational reliability for end users.
